West Bradford Youth Athletics (WBYA), a nonprofit organization funded by its members, allows boys and girls ranging in age from five to eighteen to participate in baseball, softball, field hockey, lacrosse, basketball, street hockey, and soccer programs. Without WBYA, the first opportunity for these children to participate in sports may not be until high school.
The units of local government (including Caln, Downingtown, East Brandywine, East Caln, Upper Uwchlan, Uwchlan, Wallace, West Bradford, and West Pikeland) and the Downingtown Area School District join together in a voluntary organization known as the Downingtown Area Recreation Consortium (DARC), for the purpose of creation and operation of an area wide recreation program.
The objective is to provide quality recreational and education programs to our residents. Their goal is to combine their resources to meet regional recreational challenges and needs.
