YOUR open space funds hard at work

You may recall, the Township purchased 108 acres of farmland on Groundhog College Road in 2021 with the intention of saving it from development.

We paid $27,500 per acre for the land and then split the property into two large parcels.  We then placed conservation easements on both parcels, allowing for only one (1) house per lot; a true victory when the land faced north of 40 homes.

After the easements, lot #3 (32+ acres) appraised for $632,000.00 - down from its pre-eased value of $883,162.50.

The Township is happy to report that we sold lot #3 for $1,059,000.00.

Those funds will now be reinvested into our open space program and will go on to conserve more lands in West Bradford Township!

This accomplishment would not be possible without the support of our Board of Supervisors:  Kevin Houghton, Laurie W. Abele, Jack M. Hines, Jr.

Remember, our goal – “Preserve it, Protect it, and Pass it along”!
