Township Manager's Notes - March 29

From the township Manager with Easter Bunny

Good morning residents,

Well, it appears that we have finally turned on the road to Spring!  Remember, that our front-end loader is back at the compost site this Saturday (9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.) to load mulch.  This is a great time to spruce up your flower beds in time for the family to descend on your house for the Holiday weekend!

Speaking of Spring and visitors, you know what else likes to visit in the Spring? No, not the groundhog!  POTHOLES!  If you’re motoring around our Township roadways and you spot an issue, please give us a call, or send an email.  And yes, we are equally frustrated and have had our brains rattled traveling Poorhouse Road.  Fortunately, the Aqua contract calls for repaving of the roadway to take place by the end of May.  We understand that time seems extensive, but it is important that all settlement is done in the trenches and that temperatures are correct in order to ensure a proper, long-lasting, final roadway product.   We have and will continue to do everything within our power to encourage the contractors to do their best to wrap it up.

I want to wish all of you a very Happy and Healthy Easter.  And a friendly word of advice, don’t be like me and over-indulge in chocolate peanut butter Easter eggs!

Justin
