Small Business Advantage Grant Case Study

An eight employee orthodontic office in Central PA received a grant to upgrade to a digital oral scanner. They are saving more than $7,400 per year on dental supplies, eliminating nearly 400 pounds of materials from their annual waste stream, and saving $300 on their water and sewage costs. The simple payback period for their portion of the cost is less than three years.

This scanner has improved office efficiency and vastly decreased disposable materials. Overall patient procedure is more comfortable - Dr. Nancy O., Small Business Owner

Pennsylvania-based businesses with 100 or fewer full-time employees are eligible. Eligible applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis, and must save the small business a minimum of $500 and at least 25% annually in energy consumption or pollution prevention related expenses (Natural Resource Protection projects are exempt).

An overview of the program, eligibility requirements and application instructions are included in the Small Business Advantage Grant Package.  Click here for more information.
