Embreeville State Hospital Update:

After long negotiations, cleanup, and remediation, we are happy to report that the Township will close on the former Embreeville State Hospital property near the end of February 2024. The property has passed the Act 2 clearances from the State and the property owner is currently in the process of wrapping up the final punch list items.  As part of our Federal and State Grant, we will be conducting an archeological survey of the property in the coming weeks. It is important to note that while we will own the property, it will remain closed until we are able to secure the interior infrastructure for public safety.  We look forward to delivering an a resource that will benefit many generations to come!
