Preserve & Conserve Residents’ Grove Dedication

Home Posted on November 11, 2025

The township Land Preservation and Sustainability Committee was joined by several residents, Director of Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Joe Antonelli, and Supervisor Kevin Houghton on a gorgeous fall afternoon, November 8, to plant 12 large native trees and unveil our dedication plaque. This event began the next phase of the township Preserve & Conserve program, in which a large space of Shadyside Park that used to be covered in invasive shrubs, vines, and other plants will be converted to a native woodlands with paths and interpretative signs – all because of you, our residents.

This park space honors those residents who have incorporated sustainability into their daily lives, their household routines, and their property fixtures. They have participated in the Preserve & Conserve program that helps keep our communities healthy and beautiful, and we invite you to join them and also feel pride in your efforts as you walk through the grove and see how it grows.
