Help Combat Invasive Species: The Pennsylvania Invasive Replace-ive Program

Land Preservation & Sustainability Posted on April 10, 2025

Invasive non-native trees and shrubs, such as Callery pear, tree-of-heaven, Norway maple, and others, are common throughout Pennsylvania.

While they may add ornamental value, these species can harm local ecosystems, outcompeting native plants and causing long-term ecological damage.

To address this, the Pennsylvania Invasive Replace-ive Program offers homeowners and landowners an opportunity to remove invasive trees and shrubs from their property and replace them with up to 5 FREE native trees. By replacing invasives with native species, you help protect natural landscapes and reduce the spread of these unwanted plants into surrounding areas.

Take action today and help diversify your landscape while benefiting local ecosystems. Click here for more information.
