Meet Chris Adamek
Christian (Chris) Adamek serves as the Director of Planning, Zoning, and Code Enforcement, as well as the Building Code Official for West Bradford Township. In his role as Zoning Officer and Building Code Official, Chris oversees permit reviews, approvals, and inspections. His planning responsibilities encompass subdivision and land development, along with amendments to local ordinances. He is also responsible for code enforcement, ensuring compliance with both construction and property maintenance regulations.
Chris brings a wealth of experience from his eight years in the construction industry, where he worked in residential and light commercial construction. He spent 12 years as a property maintenance inspector and building inspector at West Chester Borough, followed by three years as the Building and Zoning Official for New Garden Township before joining West Bradford Township.
He holds certifications in multiple inspection categories, each requiring ongoing continuing education credits for renewal every three years. Chris’s background in new construction has provided him with a deep understanding of building codes and planning processes.
Chris values the rural character of West Bradford Township, appreciating its proximity to commercial areas and the sense of community among residents and colleagues. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, bike riding, and spending time with his family. Although naturally shy and introverted, his position has helped him develop skills in public speaking and direct engagement with residents and contractors.
