July 19, 2026, 1:00 PM - A most Patriotic Celebration in Marshallton. Start at Bradford Meeting with “Dare to Declare,” a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Then walk over to the Marshallton Blacksmith Shop for Eugene Hough's “Heritage Flag Ceremony” which teaches the history and respect for the Flag, our Country and Ourselves. Finish the day with a walk to Martin's Tavern/Humphry Marshall Historical Park for the Friends of Martin's Tavern annual ice-cream social.
Arbor Day Tree Planting- Shadyside Park, Marshallton Village, highlighted at Embreeville Park by the planting of the germinated seeds from Humphry Marshall's 300 celebration.
Trimbleville Town Tour- summer 2027- West Bradford Historical Commission and Friends of Martin's Tavern host the 250 anniversary of the British incursion into West Bradford on the way to Birmingham at the Battle of the Brandywine.
Meet Joseph Plumb Martin, a reenactment- Joseph Plumb Martin's narrative of his adventures, dangers and sufferings of a Revolutionary War Soldier is considered one of the most significant primary history sources of that time. Share with us his incredible story of his stay at our own Martin's Tavern. Event date to be posted.
