Refuse - Large Item Collection

The Township offers free collection of one large item per residence and is collected on the last trash pick- up day of each month (please see municipal calendar).  Residents can schedule additional large items to be collected each Wednesday for a fee of $10 per item.  Acceptable items are furniture or carpet (carpet must be cut into 4’ x 4’ pieces (4 pieces equal one large item)). If you have an item you’re not sure will be considered a large item, please call the Township at (610) 269-4174.   Excessive amounts of regular trash are not considered large items (please see Excess Refuse).  Cardboard boxes or yard waste are also not considered large items.  Cardboard boxes should be recycled and yard waste should be composted.  Building materials are not accepted.

  • Effective January 24, 2013, Pennsylvania residents no longer are able to dispose of cell phones, televisions, tablets, computers, monitors and other electronic waste in their trash.  These are not eligible items for large trash collection day.
