West Bradford Parks & Trails

(Please note that all park restrooms will be closed at dark.)

Beacon Hill Park (12.5 acres) - 1765 Beacon Hill Road, Downingtown, PA  19335
Located on Beacon Hill Road. West Bradford Youth Athletics operates the park's program and facilities. It contains "Little League" sized baseball fields as well as softball fields and a snack bar, which is only open during the baseball and softball seasons. A parking lot is available for people who drive to the park. Please do not park on Beacon Hill Road. Trails are also available for those who want to walk or ride their bicycles from Victoria Crossing and West Bradford Elementary School.

Brandywine Meadows Trail (48 acres)  - 1355 Downingtown Pike, Downingtown, PA  19335    
Located on Route 322 across from the Brandywine Ridge development. Includes paved trail and new unpaved hiking and biking trail along creek, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The distance of this trail, including the East Bradford side, is 2.5 miles one way.  There are mile markers installed.

Broad Run Park (29 acres) - 1495 Broad Run Road, Downingtown, PA  19335
Located on Broad Run Road behind West Bradford Elementary School. This distance of the trail at this park is:  One loop around main trail (according to signs)is 0.6 mil,  3,168 feet. One complete loop around the pond (kiosk back to kiosk) is 1,359 feet.  And one loop around the parking lot (kiosk to gate, back to kiosk) is 730 feet.  Most of the year the lights remain on at the hockey and basketball courts until 9:30 p.m. However, in winter months the lights go off at 7:30 p.m. The rest of the facilities may be used from 6:30 a.m. until dark. The park contains playground areas, volleyball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, an inline hockey court and a pond. Tennis and hockey court keys are $20.00 for residents, and $35.00 for non-residents.  The keys are kept by the purchaser and if lost, a new key will have to be purchased.  Bathrooms are available, but are locked at dark due to vandalism. Campus Park (13 acres) - 1385 Campus Drive, Downingtown, PA  19335
Located off Marshallton-Thorndale Road, next to the Township building. Features include a softball field and play equipment for younger children.

Montvale Park (2.8 acres) - 1572 Montvale Circle, West Chester, PA  19380
Located at Montvale Circle and Linda Drive.  Features a pond, picnic tables, and a stream. Residents of the area are the primary users of the park.

Shadyside Park (31.7 acres) - 1645 Shadyside Road,  West Chester, PA  19380
Located at the intersection of Shadyside Road and Glenside Road, this park is centrally located in the Township. The complete trail at this park, using either the upper or lower loop, is within 6 feet of one mile.  Most of the year the lights remain on at the tennis, hockey and basketball courts until 9:30 p.m. However, during winter months the lights go off at 7:30 p.m. The rest of the facilities may be used from 6:30 a.m. until dark. The park contains two regulation bocce courts, four horseshoe courts, one basketball court, two tennis courts, one inline hockey court, one full size baseball field, tot lot with special needs swing, youth playground and over one mile of trails. Tennis and hockey court keys are $20.00 for residents, and $35.00 for non-residents.  The keys are kept by the purchaser and if lost, a new key will have to be purchased. Bathrooms are available but are locked at dark due to vandalism. The three pavilions at the park can be reserved for a fee. West Bradford Preserves & Open Spaces

Within West Bradford are several Preserves and Open Space areas. Natural Preserve Areas are properties that are preserved and protected to maintain the character and aesthetics of West Bradford Township. 

Dedicated open space areas are located in many developments within the Township and are maintained by the various homeowners' associations. 

Broad Run Preserve (17.1 acres) 
Located at the NW corner of the intersection of Broad Run and Shadyside Roads, across from the Estates at Broad Run.

Broadview Preserve (2.5 acres)
Located off the north end of the Broadview West cul-de-sac.

Price Preserve (8.2 acres)
Located east of the intersection of Ridgeview Circle and Price Lane.

Walnut Ridge Preserve (1.4 acres)
Located northwest of the intersection of Walnut Ridge Drive and Valley Wood Drive.

Westminster Preserve (3.7 acres)
Located along the northeast side of Marshallton-Thorndale Road, southeast of the Westminster Drive cul-de-sac.
