Improving household energy efficiency

You can take steps to save energy immediately in your homes by changing just a few of your habits.

• Get a home efficiency assessment by PECO - a consultant will walk through your house and point out ways to save.
• Main ways to make your home more efficient and save energy - insulation, HVAC, & usage
• Other strategies for saving energy - and money - at home
• Appliances - learn about the Energy Star federal program, including searching for the most energy-efficient appliances.
• “Vampire power,” or the power your appliances use when plugged in but not in use.
