Once the paint is completely dried, it can be disposed of with your regular trash. Just remove the lid and allow the paint to completely harden. If there is a large quantity left in the can, it is suggested that kitty litter, sawdust, or other moisture-absorbing material be added to the paint to speed up the drying.

This depends on the size and severity of the snow storm. Each operator has a specific route that includes high priority roads and lesser priority roads. The normal procedure for plowing streets in West Bradford Township is for each operator to first use salt and anti-skid material. This helps to keep the snow and ice from freezing on the surface. Then they will plow main streets, secondary streets and cul-de-sacs in that order. They will plow by completing one pass in each direction on main and secondary streets and a pass into and out of cul-de-sacs. This all takes time, so each street will be plowed as soon as possible. The intensity of the snowstorm determines how routes are completed. For minor storms the entire route may be completed at once. However, if the storm intensifies, only priority routes (usually through roads) will be plowed. Cul-de-sacs and secondary roads will not be done until the main routes can be kept open. As the storm lightens, all roads will be opened. After all roads can be kept open, drivers complete their route by pushing snow back as far as possible on the cartway and clearing the intersections. However, whether it be severe or not, our staff are preparing to do their best to have our roads in as good a condition as possible. Our trucks salt, cinder, and plow over 125 lane miles of roads. We hire extra contractors and maintain stock piles of over 400 tons of anti-skid material. We stock extra parts for plows, salt spreaders, and truck chains. Despite our best efforts, we do have equipment breakdowns during snowstorms. This may delay work on certain routes. Please be patient.
If you reside on a Township street and your mailbox has been physically hit by our snow plow, the Township will repair it. If it has been pushed over by the snow from the plow, the homeowner is responsible.
They can be repaired any time throughout the year. For potholes on State Roads contact PennDOT at 1-800-FIX-ROAD.
Streets are resurfaced as the need arises. The Township has a 20-year plan for major street repairs.
The Township will remove trees from the Township right-of-way. The homeowner is responsible for any trees outside the Township right-of-way. If a tree has fallen into a Township street, the Township will remove it from the street area only.
The Township will not remove any tree limbs from electric or telephone wires. We will contact the appropriate utility company to do this.
Yes, we will install or replace all missing or damaged street signs and stop signs on Township roads as soon as possible. PennDOT is responsible for state roads in the Township.
What is the Township's policy on land requirements for horses?
For agricultural purposes you must have 5 acres minimum to raise horses. For the personal recreational use of the occupant of a dwelling unit, you must have 2 acres for the first horse and an additional acre for each additional horse.
Does the Township have a "Leash Law" ?
West Bradford Township uses the State dog law. Other than specific regulations concerning dogs on Township parkland (dogs must be leashed in the Township's parks and preserves), the Township falls under these State laws. The PA Department of Agriculture oversees the State's dog laws.
The County SPCA is our appointed animal control officer. Please see their website for a description and links to the State Dog Laws at www.ccspca.org/community/education/animal-laws.html.
