NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF WEST BRADFORD TOWNSHIP:  The West Bradford Township Agricultural Area Security District shall be closed by the Board of Supervisors of West Bradford Township that was open from March 1, 2017 to March 31, 2017. The following parcels have been proposed for addition to the ASA:  50-6-95, 50-6-81, 50-6-81.3, 50-6-167, 50-6-39, 50-6-41, 50-5-159.48, 50-7-1, 49-1-18.2C, 49-1-18.2, and 49-1-18.2A.  Copies of the all applications and land descriptions are available for public inspection at the Township office, 1385 Campus Drive, Downingtown, PA 19335.

PLEASE NOTE:  Embreeville Redevelopment Zoning Hearing #395 scheduled for February 1, 2017  has been continued to a date uncertain.  There was no hearing on February 1st.  Any resumption of the hearing will be after public notice and will be posted on this website.

CONTINUED APPEAL #395: Applicant/Property: Embreeville Redevelopment, LP/TPN 50-8-9 & 50-8.9.4. Applicant filed a substantive challenge to the Zoning Ordinance that questions the validity of the Zoning Ordinance. Applicant owns property located at 1818 W. Strasburg Rd., between W. Strasburg Rd. and Embreeville Rd./Telegraph Rd. in West Bradford and Newlin Townships. The portion in West Bradford is TPN 50-8-9. Applicant is equitable owner of adjacent property located in West Bradford known as TPN 50-8-9.4. Both parcels are zoned IM-Institution/Mixed. Applicant challenges validity of Ordinance 13-06, enacted Dec. 10, 2013, which amended various provisions of the Township Code of Ordinances, Ch. 450, Zoning. Applicant also challenges entirety of the Township Code of Ordinances, Ch. 450, Zoning, and asserts Ordinance is substantively invalid because it does not meet Township’s obligation to provide its fair share of a variety of housing types to meet the anticipated demand in the area for such housing units. The substantive challenge is brought pursuant to Sec. 909.1 & 916.1(a)(2) of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. In event Ordinance 13-06 is found invalid application challenges Township Zoning Ordinance as it existed prior Ordinance 13-06 adoption.
